A rarity in most holidays... not only did we got a chance to stay in this cozy, beautifully decorated boutique hotel, but also were pleasantly surprised to meet a well-known historian, writer and a political figure - Rani Laxmi Kumari Chundawat. The dining room had a nice assortment of books and some were in fact written by the Rani herself!

We found Dera Rawatsar to be exactly what we wanted to experience - True India - Clean environment, polite people, lovely historical aspects of the property, dining room full of books on local history, and a wonderful waiter who looked after us splendidly. It was a lovely experience.

The rooms are pretty big and the wash room huge. The room was clean and the private balcony was nice. This hotel is within walking distance to the shopping areas. The food was quite nice and served in typical Indian style.
